Squats, Wall-Sits, and Smart Flushing: RFA’s Bathroom Bootycamp Recap

Dismissed! July has officially ended with another successful Flush Smart Month in the books. Throughout the month, we were on a mission to whip Americans’ bathroom habits into pristine, pipe-friendly shape — protecting local sewer infrastructure, saving home plumbing from clog-tastrophes, and keeping domestic bliss intact.

At the center of this year’s campaign was Bathroom Bootycamp, our high-energy challenge designed to cure bad bathroom etiquette and help folks flush responsibly.

To spread the word, we enlisted an elite squad of creators across Instagram and TikTok.  These influencers put their own families and friends through the ultimate Flush Smart tests, proving that learning proper flushing habits can be both impactful and fun.

Here’s a look at how our drill instructors took on Bathroom Bootycamp: –

@thedashleys

When a recent household toilet crisis struck, @thedashleys called an emergency family meeting. To prevent future pipe disasters caused by, “someone who we shall not name,” she led her recruits through a game of Flush or Trash. Highlighting the official Do Not Flush symbol, she taught her family exactly what belongs in the bowl and awarded prizes to responsible flushers.

@kyramknox

Over on @kyramknox’s feed, Kyra tested her family’s bathroom knowledge with a rapid-fire game of Flush or Trash — and the stakes were high. She assigned three squats for each wrong answer.

@wyatteiden

Suited up as a referee, @wyatteiden led an intense wall-sit competition between two friends. As Wyatt fired off flushing etiquette questions, every correct answer made life a lot harder for the opponent as a heavy box of 1,000 non-flushable baby wipes was piled into his lap.

Protect Your Pipes and Your Community

While Bathroom Bootycamp brought plenty of laughs this July, the core message behind  Flush Smart Month remains critical year-round. So, feel free to use the Bootycamp materials anytime.

Non-flushable items do not break down in water like toilet paper or flushable wipes do.  Tossing them down the drain leads to massive sewer blockages, costly home plumbing repairs, and environmental damage to local water ecosystems.

Keep these core guidelines in mind to keep your plumbing safe:

  1. Look for the Symbol: Always check packaging for the official Do Not Flush symbol before tossing anything in the bowl.
  2. Know What Belongs: If it’s not human waste, a wipe clearly labeled flushable, or dry toilet paper — put it in the trash, never the toilet!

Thank You for Joining the Movement!

A huge thank you to everyone who followed along with #FlushSmart, took the 7-Day  Bathroom Bootycamp Challenge and shared the message with their households. July may be over, but smart flushing habits are forever.
