The Responsible Flushing Alliance is working with local leaders in New York City to correct misinformation that incorrectly places blame on flushable wipes for clogs and damage in wastewater treatment plants and sewers.

In 2016, the City of New York conducted a collection study of clogs within two spots of the city’s massive sewer infrastructure. The findings were very interesting. The vast majority of the clogs were made up of three culprits: trash, paper towels, and baby wipes. Read more
